Alex Rogerson
FNP-C

Alex graduated from Radford University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse for seven years, spending four years in cardiac medicine and three years in pediatrics. While working as a Registered Nurse she attended George Washington University and graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing from the Family Nurse Practitioner program.

She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, American Academy of Neurology and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach and traveling.

Dr. A.J. Barot
MD, FAAN, FAASM, FRSM

Dr. A. J. Barot has been practicing medicine for more than 40 years in the Hampton Roads area. He was trained at Bethesda Naval Medical Center in Neurology and is triple board-certified in Psychiatry, Neurology, and Sleep Medicine.

He is regarded throughout the region as a thought leader in neurology. He is an Associate Professor at Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) and has been elected both a Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM). Several years ago, Dr. Barot was also bestowed the title of Fellow by the Royal Society of Medicine.

According to his sons, he spends his free time pampering his grandchildren.

Dr. N.A. Barot
MD, FAASM

Dr. N. A. Barot was valedictorian of his class at a local school, Nansemond-Suffolk Academy, after which he attended the College of William & Mary and Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS). After completing his neurology training at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, Dr. Barot went on to a sleep medicine fellowship at the Stanford University Sleep Center of Excellence, one of the world’s premier sleep centers. There he trained under the foremost leaders in sleep medicine, including the pioneers of research regarding the major sleep disorders (sleep apnea, pediatric sleep disorders, restless legs syndrome, narcolepsy and insomnia) and their treatments, including sleep surgery and sleep dentistry.

Dr. Barot is board-certified in both Neurology and Sleep Medicine and is an Assistant Professor at EVMS. He is an active member of the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) and has been elected a Fellow of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM). Megan D. Adams
PA-C

Megan graduated Summa Cum Laude from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. She was a pole vaulter for the LSU women’s Track and Field team, earning multiple Academic All-SEC Honors during her time there. She then attended Yale University School of Medicine’s Physician Associate Program, graduating with a Master of Medical Science degree in 2010. She received the Dean’s Humanitarian Award at graduation.

She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, American Academy of Neurology, and American Academy of Sleep Medicine. She spends her free time with family and participates in various volunteer efforts throughout the community. She also enjoys reading, gardening, and baking.
